Who We Are
At Reliant Camps, we nurture capable leaders through hands‑on challenges grounded in Christian values and character development.
Reliant Camps was founded by Vince and Kathleen Staub in response to a growing need they saw in today’s world: the need to intentionally develop the next generation of leaders—leaders who lead with integrity.
Both Vince and Kathleen bring a lifetime of experience working with young people. Kathleen has spent her career serving children and families, leading youth programs through the YMCA and within their church community. Her passion for helping kids grow, belong, and thrive has shaped the heart and culture of Reliant Camps from the very beginning.
Vince began his career at the YMCA and has remained deeply involved in youth development ever since, serving with Young Life and leading youth programs at several churches. He is a Certified Risk Manager and holds a doctorate in Strategic Leadership and has long recognized what research continues to confirm: a significant exodus of seasoned leaders from the workforce has created a growing leadership gap. Without intentional development, fewer young people will be prepared to step into leadership roles with character and confidence.
Reliant Camps was created to help close that gap.
Started in 2007, Reliant Camp launched its first week-long session in 2008, using immersive, experience-based programming to intentionally develop future leaders. Our programs are grounded in Christian principles and designed to help campers become effective leaders who lead with integrity in every area of life.
At Reliant Camps, leadership is developed through relationship and experience. Campers learn to trust and rely on their cabin mates, camp leaders, and staff—skills that naturally translate into trusting others, developing self-confidence, and ultimately placing their trust in their Creator. Through shared challenges, teamwork, and reflection, campers grow to become more reliable, more trustworthy, and better equipped to lead with integrity.
We believe the camp environment is uniquely suited for this kind of growth. In a setting that is safe, fun, and supportive, campers are challenged, encouraged, and inspired to grow—both as individuals and as leaders.
