Safety & Care FAQs

How do you keep campers safe?

Camper safety is our highest priority. Reliant Camps provides a structured, well-supervised environment with trained staff, clear expectations, and established safety protocols. Activities are age-appropriate and designed with physical, emotional, and relational safety in mind.

What emergency procedures are in place?

Clear emergency procedures are established and practiced regularly by staff. In the event of an emergency, our team is trained to respond quickly and calmly, communicate clearly, and involve local emergency services when necessary.

Are staff trained to handle emergencies?

Yes. Camp staff receive training in emergency response, camper supervision, and safety procedures before camp begins. Leadership staff are prepared to manage medical situations, behavioral concerns, and unexpected incidents.

How do you handle health screening and medical needs?

All campers complete a required health form prior to arrival. This allows us to be aware of allergies, medications, and medical considerations. Medications are securely stored and administered according to parent instructions.

If a camper becomes ill or injured, parents are contacted promptly, and appropriate care is provided.

How are campers supervised?

Campers are supervised at all times by trained staff. Small groups allow counselors to know campers personally and monitor their well-being throughout the day, during activities, free time, and overnight hours.

What does check-in and check-out look like?

Campers are checked in and out using a structured process to ensure accurate attendance and security. Only authorized individuals may drop off or pick up campers, and staff are present to guide families through the process.

How do you address emotional and relational safety?

We work hard to create an environment where every camper feels safe, respected, and included. Staff are trained to promote kindness, address conflict appropriately, and intervene if a camper feels uncomfortable or unsafe.
